Upgrade of Legacy 12 Mbps Internet Package
At Afrieta, our priority is delivering reliable, high-performance internet services that support modern household demands — including streaming, remote work, online learning, and multi-device usage.
After reviewing network performance and customer feedback, we have decided to retire the legacy 12 Mbps / 12 Mbps package. This service no longer meets current performance expectations and has generated the highest volume of support requests.
We have also identified repeated instances of this package being extended or shared across separate households (including tenants or neighbouring properties), which violates our Terms and Conditions and places excessive strain on the network.
What This Means for You
- During March 2026, your service will be upgraded to 20 Mbps / 20 Mbps at no additional cost.
- Your April 2026 premium remains R409, while you enjoy the upgraded 20 Mbps speeds.
- From 1 May 2026, the monthly premium for the 20 Mbps package will be R449.
This represents a 66% increase in speed, delivering improved streaming quality, faster uploads, smoother video conferencing, and better performance for multiple simultaneous users.
No action is required from you — the upgrade will be applied automatically during March.
